Davey Supports District Diabetes Group

Edward Davey, Liberal Democrat MP for Kingston and Surbiton, met with the Kingston and District Group of Diabetes UK this week as part of National Diabetes Awareness Week.

Edward Davey addressed around thirty members of the local support group. He has previously campaigned to raise awareness of diabetes through his work in Parliament.

Commenting, Edward Davey said,

"The Kingston branch of Diabetes UK do some wonderful work in helping, supporting and educating people with diabetes, their carers and the public.

"I was delighted to speak to them about my role in supporting the valuable work they do, and how we tackle diabetes and its related diseases.

"I look forward to working with the Group in the future to help raise awareness about this debilitating disease."

Kingston and District Group of Diabetes UK are a local voluntary self help, support group for Kingston and District and are affiliated to Diabetes UK. Their aim is to help, support and educate people with diabetes and their carers and also the general public.
