Stop the NHS Cuts
Kingston NHS is facing its worst budget crisis
since health cuts under the last Conservative Government back in the
mid-1990s, according to new figures.
We have seen jobs lost at Kingston Hospital and
across the local NHS whilst Kingston Primary Care Trust's £20+
million deficit may see further services axed.
Although the extra investment the Labour has put
into health has been welcome, the extra cash has been extremely badly
mananged. Too much of the cash has been wasted on targets,
bureaucracy and the inefficiency caused by a centralised system
directed by Whitehall.
Unfortunately Labour now has an expensive plan
to switch people's operations from Kingston to Tooting, which could
undermine our hospital even more. We have to stop these wasteful
policies so we can end these health cuts.
