Thank you!
Thank you. It is a great privilege to be re-elected to serve you as the MP for Kingston and Surbiton. So I'm grateful to all who voted for me and for the many kind comments and messages of congratulations.
My top aim is to make sure I live up to local people's vote of confidence. I will continue to speak up strongly for our community in Parliament and, with my superb staff, to do my best for individuals seeking my help.
No Member of Parliament has a magic wand. Nor are we given our own budgets or any authority over Kingston Council or other local public service providers.
Yet it's my experience that the local MP can contribute to positive change by co-operating with and supporting the many others who work hard for local people. I intend to use that experience to build on past progress.
If you, your family or friends think my help may be useful, please contact me. You can write to me at the House of Commons, London SW1A 0AA or or contact me from this site.
Alternatively, come and chat to me face to face. Most weeks of the year I hold two advice sessions - ring 8288-0161 for details - no appointment needed!
I'm here to serve everyone in Kingston and Surbiton, however you voted, both in Parliament and locally. Working with the many superb local organisations - from the Citizens' Advice Bureaux to Kingston Churches Action on Homelessness - I and my staff will do all we can to help. Thank you, once again.
