Scope celebrates 50th birthday

Local MP leads celebration at Scope shop, Tolworth
Edward Davey, Liberal Democrat MP for Kingston and Surbiton, last week led the celebration of Scope's 50th birthday at the Scope shop in Tolworth (118a Tolworth Broadway).
Scope is a disability organisation whose focus is people with cerebral palsy and was formerly the Spastics Society. It campaigns for disability rights and provide housing, advice and educational support for cerebral palsy sufferers.
The 50th birthday is being celebrated nationwide and local MP Edward Davey cut the cake at the local Scope shop in Tolworth.
Commenting, Mr.Davey said:
"I am delighted to be able to help Scope celebrate their 50th birthday.
"The work of all the shop staff and volunteers here is greatly appreciated by the many people who are helped by Scope's work.
"I am looking forward to another 50 years of Scope raising awareness of the real problems and prejudice that disabled people can suffer and wish them all the best"
