Kingston NHS Challenge

Informer Last year I launched the Kingston NHS Challenge to help me build our case. I have been encouraging people to tell me about their NHS experiences - good and bad. The Survey I received replies to the survey from 4000 constituents. 300 other residents responded to my Kingston NHS Challenge campaign with their own specific cases. The majority of these highlighted problems with services at local hospitals. A summary of these cases and the results of my constituency survey were sent to the Secretary of State for Health with a number of recommendations on how to improve local services. Findings To summarise some of the issues that local residents were concerned about: When asked how
long they waited between being seen by their GP and being
seen for the first time by a hospital doctor When asked if
there should be more NHS dentists When given a
choice between better NHS funding and income tax cuts Recommendations My main recommendations concerned ... A&E & bed shortages Waiting times/lists Ward cleanliness Monitoring of loans of hospital equipment Recruitment of nurses You can read the full text of my recommendations |
