Incredible, but true
Three of Kingston and Surbiton’s seventeen post offices are to close, if they get their way.
Branches at Malden Manor, Chiltern Drive and Berrylands would shut. These serve thousands – including hundreds of elderly and disabled people.
We must fight these closures
I’ve launched a petition and demanded a meeting with senior managers.
Yet this won’t be an easy campaign. The Post Office have been ruthless in the other areas they’ve gone to. Almost nowhere have they listened to the local opposition.
Still, we must try. The official consultation ends on 20th October, so let’s marshal our arguments and petitions urgently.
